FAQ
Everything you need to know about TallyQuote. Can't find your answer? Email us.
TallyQuote is an all-in-one tool that takes contractors from first inquiry to booked job — without the hassle. Clients fill out your branded request form from their phone, describing the job and uploading photos. That request lands in your dashboard, AI drafts a professional proposal, you review and send it, the client signs online, and then you both agree on a time. No phone tag, no spreadsheets, no chasing people down.
Any trade that quotes jobs. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, roofers, painters, landscapers, tile contractors, general contractors — if clients ask you to quote work, TallyQuote handles the whole process.
No. Your clients fill out a form from their phone and you get a notification. The AI drafts the proposal, you adjust what you want, and hit send. There's nothing complicated to set up.
Yes. TallyQuote is a progressive web app (PWA) that works in any modern browser on iPhone or Android. You can add it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app — no App Store required.
Your account comes with a unique request form link you can share by text, embed on your website, or add to your Instagram bio. Clients open it on their phone, describe the job in their own words, upload photos or videos, add their email and zip code, and submit. You get a notification with everything in one place — no back-and-forth needed to collect the basics.
Yes. After a client types their job description, the AI reads it and asks one targeted follow-up question to fill in anything unclear — like square footage, scope, or timeline. The client answers inline, then hits Submit. You get more complete job details without any extra work on your end.
Once a request comes in, you can generate a proposal with one tap. Our AI (powered by Anthropic Claude) reads the job description and any follow-up answers, then builds a structured line-item estimate — labor, materials, demo, whatever applies. You review it, adjust any numbers, and send. The whole thing takes a few minutes.
Very good for most jobs, especially when the client gave clear details. You always review before sending, so you can fix anything that doesn't look right. The more context in the request, the sharper the draft.
Yes. Build a price book with your own rates for materials and labor. The AI uses your prices instead of guessing, so the draft is accurate from the start without editing every line.
Yes. The request form lets clients attach photos and videos of the job site — cracked tiles, damaged drywall, whatever they want to show you. You see exactly what they saw before you ever leave the house.
You share a link — by text or email. Your client taps it, sees a professional branded proposal with your logo and colors, reviews the line items and total, and can accept it directly from their phone. No app download, no login required on their end.
Yes. Clients review the full proposal, accept your terms, and sign electronically. Once signed, you both get a confirmation. Your payment terms and cancellation policy are included automatically if you've set them in Settings.
After signing, clients suggest up to three time windows that work for them — like Tuesday morning or Friday afternoon. Those options come into your dashboard and you pick the one that works. Once you confirm, the job is scheduled and both of you have a date on the books.
TallyQuote automatically follows up with the client if a proposal sits unsigned. You don't have to remember to chase anyone down — the app handles it.
Never. Your materials cost, labor cost, and margin are for your eyes only. Clients see the line items and totals you choose to show them — nothing more.
Yes, on Pro and Unlimited plans. Upload your logo and pick your accent color in Settings. Every proposal and request form your clients see reflects your business brand.
Yes. Set your payment schedule (deposit required, 50/50 split, Net 30, etc.) and cancellation policy once in Settings. It appears automatically on every proposal you send.
Each new estimate you create counts as one proposal toward your monthly limit. Editing an existing estimate, sharing it again, or resending a link does not count.
Yes. The Free plan gives you 3 proposals per month with no credit card required. It's a real, working product — not a watered-down trial. Client request forms, AI drafting, and online signatures are all included.
You'll be notified and can upgrade to Pro or Unlimited to keep going. Your existing proposals and client links continue to work regardless of your plan.
Yes, no questions asked. Cancel from your billing settings. You keep access through the end of your billing period, then your account reverts to the Free plan.

Only you can see your proposals in the dashboard. Clients can only access a proposal if you share the specific link with them. Your client request form submissions are visible only to you.
When a client fills out your request form, they provide their name, email address, zip code, a description of the job, and optionally photos or videos. That data is stored securely and is only visible to you. We do not use it for any purpose other than delivering it to your dashboard.
